Day 1: Arrival in Chandigarh – Transfer to Jammu

Your majestic journey begins as you arrive in Chandigarh, the city known for its modern architecture and gardens. After arrival, you’ll begin your drive toward Jammu, the gateway to Kashmir. Enjoy a comfortable drive through scenic countryside and foothills. On reaching Jammu, check into your hotel. Spend your evening exploring the local market or relaxing. Overnight stay in Jammu.

Day 2: Jammu to Srinagar (Approx. 270 km / 7–8 hours)

After breakfast, check out and start your drive towards Srinagar, the crown jewel of Kashmir. As you ascend into the Himalayas, the landscape changes dramatically – from dry plains to lush valleys, pine forests, and flowing rivers. Upon arrival in Srinagar, check into a traditional houseboat on Dal Lake or your hotel. Spend the evening enjoying a Shikara ride on the calm waters of Dal Lake. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 3: Srinagar – Local Sightseeing

After a delicious breakfast, proceed to explore Srinagar’s magnificent Mughal gardens – Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi – all set against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Range. Visit the sacred Shankaracharya Temple, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city and lake. Spend your afternoon strolling through Old Srinagar, known for its vibrant markets and Kashmiri handicrafts. Return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 4: Srinagar to Gulmarg (Approx. 50 km / 2 hours)

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Gulmarg, the meadow of flowers, famous for its lush green slopes and snow-covered landscapes. On arrival, check in to your hotel and then explore the valley. You can enjoy the Gondola ride (cable car) up to Apharwat Peak, offering breathtaking views and snow activities (seasonal). Day 5: Gulmarg to Pahalgam (Approx. 140 km / 4–5 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam, the “Valley of Shepherds.” En route, you can stop at the Awantipora Ruins, an ancient temple complex. On arrival in Pahalgam, check in to your hotel and relax. Later, visit local sights like Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari (local taxi required). Surrounded by dense pine forests and the Lidder River, Pahalgam offers tranquility and scenic beauty. Day 6: Pahalgam to Sonmarg (Approx. 220 km / 6–7 hours)

After an early breakfast, check out and drive to Sonmarg, the “Meadow of Gold.” This drive takes you through winding roads and peaceful valleys. On arrival, check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the Sindh River, or opt for a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier (if weather permits), known for its shimmering ice and stunning surroundings. Day 7: Sonmarg to Srinagar (Approx. 80 km / 2–3 hours)

After breakfast, check out and return to Srinagar. On arrival, check into your hotel or houseboat. The rest of the day is free for shopping at Lal Chowk, visiting local bakeries, or simply relaxing by Dal Lake. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful walk along the Boulevard Road, with views of the lake and Zabarwan Hills. Overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 8: Srinagar to Patnitop (Approx. 200 km / 6–7 hours)

After breakfast, begin your descent from the Kashmir Valley as you drive towards Patnitop, a picturesque hill station known for its lush greenery and peaceful vibe. On arrival, check into your hotel and relax. You may visit Naag Temple, Madhatop, or take a short forest walk. Enjoy the fresh air and panoramic views. Overnight stay in Patnitop.

Day 9: Patnitop to Chandigarh – Departure (Approx. 400 km / 9–10 hours)

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Chandigarh, marking the end of your grand royal trail through Kashmir. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the airport or railway station for your onward journey with unforgettable memories of the Himalayas and the paradise that is Kashmir.
